In a report by the British newspaper The Mail, allegations of sexual harassment in the Navy came to light. It said the male crew had drawn up a list of how the submarine's female crew would be sexually assaulted in the event of a disaster.
A woman has alleged that an officer sexually assaulted her while she was sleeping. Besides, another senior officer punched him in the kidney. The woman also alleged that a senior official had left nude photos of female models and money in her cabin. Through this, the officer indicated to establish sexual relations with him.
For more than a decade, there have been allegations of sexual harassment of women on submarines. This has been happening since 2011 when the ban on hiring women in these jobs was lifted.
Former Chief of Navy Rear Admiral Chris Parry reacted to this incident. He told the BBC, "The incident of sexual harassment paints a picture of our entire social system."
