In the evening of the BNP rally in Rangpur, the collectorate ground was full to the brim



Divisional rally of BNP at collectorate Eidgah ground of Rangpur city late at night. Fearing that the leaders of the government party may block the coming of the rally tomorrow Saturday, many BNP leaders and workers came and took a stand at the rally venue on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the Collectorate Eidgah ground is full to the brim. Colorful party posters-banners are all around.


Thousands of BNP leaders-workers and supporters from different districts and upazilas of Rangpur have pitched tents with dry food, blankets and chats in different fields around the rally venue to make the rally a success.

Imran Hossain (35) came to the rally from Kaunia upazila. He said, "I do not belong to any party. But Awami League does not want the government anymore. Because the government has increased the price of all goods. Our backs are against the wall. can't walk I have come to the BNP rally to express no confidence in the government.


Today around five o'clock in the afternoon, it was seen that thousands of leaders and workers have taken a stand at Jummapara Government Primary School ground in the city. Talking to them, it is known that they originally came from Hatibandha and Patgram upazilas of Lalmonirhat. Apart from this, people with motorcycles have taken up positions in the city's CO Bazar, Uttam, Modern, Railway Station and nearby schools, colleges and empty fields.

Sajib of Hatibandha upazila, who stayed in the school grounds, said, "We came together in 300 rickshaw-vans last night. I am eating crackers. I will return home after finishing the rally.


Barrister Hasan Rajeev Pradhan, a member of the Central Executive Committee of BNP, told Prothom Alo that the common people, including BNP leaders, workers and supporters, have already proved that they do not want this government. People started coming to Rangpur two days before the rally. Looking at everyone's interest, it seems that the biggest gathering will be in Rangpur.
